Seamrippers Craft Collective
29 May 2007
i am always saying how i want to participate in other cities’ craft events. and still i hadn’t checked out all of what my city, Vancouver, had to offer.
so i went to a Seamrippers Craft Collective knitting workshop. the instructor Kirsten was supernice and a great instructor. we learnt Continental style knitting, which meant for me unlearning whatever other style kept trying to take over my hands. and i did learn how to knit again! yes! there were cookies and tea for all. and the tea had cute knit little tube sweaters for the glasses. hehe. thank you Kirsten!
the collective also has weekly get togethers, a summer fair, workshops on embroidery, dollmaking, underwear making, haircutting, pop ups and more! i’ll be going back soon :)

yes it think they keep offering them. there are more on their calendar. it was a great environment, very light filled and colourful.

I wonder if they will offer more knitting classes? What a great environment to take lessons! All knitting classes should be as cozy and inviting as this one :)
