it’s funny how some things seem so new. but they have been incubating forever. started by style rebels [style rebels!] that look just as outrageous now as they did when they first appeared. in the next few days, i will make note of 4 gutsy women with their own unique style, who have started something with their particular style obsessions, have an intense love of colour, and have mostly had incredible longevity in the fashion world.

1st, Italian Vogue‘s Anna Piaggi who has produced over 7000 editorial pages of work. a definite maverick in the world of non-matching, very eclectic, screaming-with-colour outfits. i’m sure to people who have never seen her before, you can’t quite believe your eyes. she’s like the secret head of the 90s Club Kids. i’ve never completely grasped her personal fairytale but still love that she exists.
