Quadrophenia. Have you seen it? If not, you have to.

With my obsession with conservative preppy clothes, menswear and both of those worn in a [somewhat] counter-culture way, this movie is a perfect party tray for me. As usual I am probably more into the mod boys clothes than the girls but both are cool. And of course these looks have been ricocheting around a fair bit these past few years. For me they never go away.

I was going to do a bunch of screen shots but I can’t. I have no time as I am trying to finish my green hoodie AND get all my SWANclothing spring tote samples together! So here is some video… oh AND here are some boots I just Buy It Now-ed on eBay. I can’t believe I did that but I love them!

P.S. If you rent or buy Quadrophenia check out the director’s commentary. He gives great insight into the times and was definitely a hooligan himself, even insighting the real mod extras to genuinely attack police in the riot scene. The DVD also lists a whole pile of great mod movies from that era.
