here is an item from my sales this week.

it is the 4th item i have posted that looks to be by the same DIY seamstress and embroiderer. these have been a joy to find, examine, wear and sell. i only wish i knew who she was so that she could see all the kind comments her work has received on Flickr.

besides that, you might notice that my model [me] has no head. yes i am headless. a few Flickr-ers have made note of this. i have sometimes included my head in my Ebay shots but usually not. it’s not that i have a problem with it. it’s the lighting i use. it makes the clothes look sharp and it makes my face look pretty bad. i also save my head for more personal photos and the occasional Wardrobe Remix shot. this way my head is sort of special?

i’m used to seeing my photos like this but when i come across another headless Ebay seller i am sort of creeped out. i’m sure that is how i look too. an endless stream of headless photos is just pure wierd.

here is a favourite seller of mine, smashingdragonfly , and 2 of her items this week-

her sales are consistantly wonderful. and she looks great and always wears the best shoes, jewellery and full sleeve tattoo to compliment her items. and no head!

once! she left a photo in with her face, a long time ago…aha! anyway, the decapitated look doesn’t seem to hurt her sales at all. though the tippy top sellers of vintage clothing on Ebay not only have a head but sometimes a whole posse of heads, as in more than one model, and usually quite lovely ones at that. whatever!

so ya ok, something above the shoulders is a bonus. and i’m working on my lighting situation!
