when i think of a summer song i think of the Brazilian song The Girl from Ipanema [Garota de Ipanema]. written by Antonio Carlos Jobim and poet Vinícius de Moraes in 1962 [and well known sung in english by Astrud Gilberto]. after hearing it forever i never thought there was a real girl. but her name was Heloísa Eneida Menezes Paes Pinto, an 18 year old beauty who used to walk by a bar where they went everyday. i always imagine this girl in a sundress but reading the lyrics there is no mention of one, or of any item of clothing of course.
