today i attended my first Etsy Workshop via the internet- Etsy Workshop talk: Global Microbrand. hosted by Antonio Gould. the idea being you can stay small as a business, find your demographic and do well.

Etsy used streaming video and live chat and provided interesting features so you could check out the other sellers stores and profiles. it was very fun in its interactivity. and very informative. link/site/social networking/selling/blogging/video podcast suggestions were flying. and i met some more Etsy sellers.

click on this following image to see it larger. i somehow got to be “upside down” during most of the chat :S

the chat will be archived on the Etsy site but at the moment i don’t know where. i will post the link as soon as i do. [here it is.]

and i will definitely attend the next one which is a workshop for the Etsy Book Club [i didn’t even know they had one!]- Etsy Book Club: Double Dip. the discussion is about Ben & Jerry’s Double Dip: How to Run a Values Led Business and Make Money Too by Ben Cohen And Jerry Greenfield. Sean Greenwood, Ben & Jerry’s Grand Poobah of P.R. [his official title] will be joining the workshop. maybe this workshop will answer my question- where did all the hippies go? if that doesn’t mean anything to you, then Wikipedia is your friend ;)

to join in you just have to be a logged in member of Etsy, which is easy to do.
