not really a nature blog. yet. and yes the quote is “this flower smells like poo”.

my SWANclothing Calla totes are going up today…

this bag is as simple as i wish my summer was. light as a feather, and soft. they almost look like pillows. that’s because the entire bag is quilted. and then decorated with a quilted calla lily flower whose stem runs under the bag and turns into another calla lily. the handle is cotton rope that i chain stitched not using a crochet hook, just my fingers. the bag is finished with some fat embroidery handstitching. it’s fully lined and has a big inner pocket for your smaller things and comes in grey or white.

personally i am looking for the perfect panama hat to go with mine.

in the SWANclothing store.

you know, this floral thing, i’m in pretty deep. my desktop is a mass of floral finds. and i just give in. i’m going to post it all. perhaps for fall the flower obsession will wain. we’ll see!

so… here is an amazing 80s shirt i didn’t manage to get on Etsy. i love it. i had visions of wearing it with leggings and great boots. oh well.

here’s a current mini-obsession of mine. 80s shirt dresses. that men’s style for women look.

like this one from Retro Lane.

i got a little crazy a month or so ago and found some 80s dress patterns on ebay. i was so determined to find this style and i did…

it’s Simplicity 8569 if anyone wants to know.

i’ve always loved wrapping using what i have around. making something harmonious and oddly beautiful from paper and plastic findings is very satisfying. knowing that it will be ripped apart soon is part of its beauty. so i’m finally finding the time to do something a little more fancy for your packages starting now…

…here we have a little bouquet of plastic, bubble wrap, leftover striped tissue that i love, and some vintage wallpaper that was given to me. i have a whole roll! view larger here.

simply called nemres, and it’s full of wonderful finds. rose dress here. nemrešpobjećodnedjelje is another of my flickr friends whose style i love. end of story.

it sort of breaks my heart that my summer bags are going up so late! but c’est la vie. it’s been a crazy spring-summer is all i can say. some of you have written me and asked when more totes are coming, so here is some info. my Calla Lily bags are going up this week. i like them! also this little SWANclothing shirred skirt in this blue rose pattern and another mystery pattern…

…will go up this week too.

i’ve focused on creating some pieces that are a bit less pricey, when these skirts are posted you’ll see what i mean. and the fabric on these skirts is thrifted and vintage. and there isn’t that much of it. what i’m trying to say is, they’re special.

and I actually have around 3 more bag styles after that and some very pretty tops i’m dying to get out. those will be coming over the next few weeks. now that my hand is working, i am using my fingers a lot and thoroughly enjoying it.

i’ve been blogging for years now! and have realized that i need to change a few things. for example, i think i will add more video. we shall see. but while looking for fresh and wonderful things, this original Emmanuelle film came up on Youtube. not that french adult films from the 70s are the new direction of the blog. it’s just the theme song and opening and i’d say it’s safe for work. the song is so wonderful and so is her dressing gown and her furniture is incredible.
